Middletown Township was incorporated in 1692, but it was not until August of 1952 that a full-time police department was established. In the fifty years of its existence the department has grown from one officer answering calls from signal lights to over fifty officers using digital radios and personal computers in their vehicles. The world is rapidly changing and the Middletown Police Department is ready.

The Challenge: Application access from remote locations (police cars). Police officers must process paperwork and reports as well as do research and check email, all of which are computer assisted. Every hour an officer spends in front of a computer is an hour he could be on the street protecting the community.
